I purchased 2 headlight buckets at a swap recently but should have paid more attention. Below the FORD logo, one says "TWO LAMP HEADLIGHT" and the other says "SEALED BEAM". The "SEALED BEAM" bucket has the interior support for a 7" sealed beam bulb and a much shorter mounting bolt. Does anybody know which is the real '36 and/or where the other one came from?

Sealed beams didn't come on Fords until 1940, so that one clearly isn't a '36 part. Probably from a Ford truck of some sort.

Just twice. Once in history and once in hot rods.

'40 was the first year for the pickup to NOT use a headlight bucket. Maybe a larger truck?

I appears that you have the answer to my question. The '40 to '47 COE not only had buckets that resemble the '36 sedan, they also have a long mounting bolt. The least that I need now is a retaining ring for a COE headlight. I would rather have a complete '36 sedan headlight bucket to match the other one that I have. The best answer would be to find someone that would trade for one or the other.
