1940 ford convertible coupe revival?????

    Glad to hear your surgery when well. Hopefully your healing will come along great and you can get back on your 40. Thanks for the info,pictures and hope to see your progress once you are healed!

    I wish you a speedy recovery and make sure the body is ready to work again before you start. I didn't wait long enough and paid the price. Do a lot of walking first.

    so my knees r doin ok,, n im back on the 40,,new king pins, bushings, dropped steering arms, new drag link n tie rod w/all new rod ends, 56 ford f-1 front self energizing brakes , new rear brake shoes n hardware, rear drums turned,made a master cyl. adapter n installed a 70 javalim dual master cyl [whats neat bout the master cyl is it ports out to the outsie rail] less messin around w/tube bending,,more info to come,, plus some pics,,,,,,,,,,also forgot to mention new tires l78/15s n 560/15s

  6. Nice. Those Corvette lights were done on quite a few cars back in the day....sure you already know this. Dunno' what your plans are....or the condition of those said rear fenders......but they sure would be a welcome sight today. Tired of just the chevrons....although....I sure would not turn down a 40 with them. Nice work man.

    well ive been floggin on this pos,,the brakes are juiced up n have a good pedal,, tonite i was on the trans mount,,i dont want to split the bones, so,, its a little tight in there for a mount, but i believe what we have goin will work, looks like ill have to use 39 pedal assy, in order to line up the rod from pedal to fork,, i may raise this clevis up approx. 2 in. i will post some pictures in a few days

    It's been more than a couple of days,here's the latest, shocks mounted,trans mount done,radiator installed, clutch linkage done, will take picture n post, got a problem with brake pedal arm hitting clutch arm, door panels n seat r in front clip on, Dave is cutting driveshaft,vintage metalworks, little plug for him, I want to thank Tim, John, Dave, n my son Scott just to name a few, for their help, hope to have this jalopy on the road this summer, here r some pics not in order of assy.     F880493B-3F2A-495F-A653-E2A56C3CD57F.jpeg C6004F58-6B10-4F8E-8202-4465CFF8F8CA.jpeg 21E95115-AE08-45F0-B3D9-046E4A9F9625.jpeg Just looking over my old post 3 1/2 years ago, time flies, but I forgot to post some other pictures, mainly pictures of the gentleman that I bought the car from, I told him if I ever got this POS on the road that I would take him for a spin, and we did just that, couple of my buddies and I drove our hot rods up to his home north of Manaway Ohio when we got there I told him I wanted him to drive the car and he said that it was no longer his car and that he no longer owned it, so I took him for a drive about a mile away from his home turn the car around, shut it off got out of the car he said what are you doing, I said you’re either driving the car home, or were walking back, pictures will speak for their self, After we got back to his home we were a little emotional, not sure if he still with us this was 3 1/2 years ago and his health was not well

    I would love to see the picture of the 1939 Ford clutch linkage. I am trying to revise my 1939 Ford Coupe - 327 and Muncie 4 speed. Has 1940 petals and z bar to clutch fork. I bought a repo 1939 petal set from Drake and want to revise. Great work on this project.
