I have seen some good looking, fat chicks in my time, and some not so good looking skinny er, a, two doors. I guess it depends on the year, make and build style, some can and do make them work.
That smoothed out porker looks to be a`52 going by the front fenders and parking lights. I guess every dog has it`s day...
The 30s offered custom 4drs with incomparable success, at least I think so. Shagged off the world wide web, a 1934 Dietrich Sport Sedan: There were others from Pierce Arrow, Lincoln and Cadillac, and then right before the war Packard (Dietrich/LeBaron) did it again with another 4dr. 1941 Packard Lebaron Sport Brougham: 2 fat chicks I'd ride with no shame. Yet since we're speaking of "our cars" I recall a 4dr H.T. 57 in an early 60s Hot Rod Magazine. It was one of those simple 2pg spreads with captions instead of text. I'll try to find it (might actually know where it is) and share on this topic because I too never have 4dr sedans on my radar but that worked quite well too. Good stuff, ya freakin misogynist...
Except most longroofs are 4 door and yet almost all longroofs are cool. (Don't bother posting pcitires of 2 door wagons. I know they exist, that's why I said "most.")
I've always thought of 4-doors as like making out with your sister, you always wanted better for yourself, but you just had to settle for what was available.
My 53 Ute is a two door The 53 Brew 102 is a two door land speed car But my 54 Country Squire is a long roof four door so the dogs don't have to jump over the front seat to get into the back. No fat chicks, just fat dogs.
4 Doors.............If I'm going to own another one it will be a 1939 Buick 4 door of any series. They possess a beautiful roof line as well as '39-'40 Cadillac's and LaSalle's My other favorites are 1965-1970 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 4 door sedans.
I have a '54 Ford 4-door, and I have to say I think the 52-54 Fords don't look terrible as a 4 door. It seems less noticeable than on other cars. Maybe I'm biased, but I usually don't like any 4-doors other than the 52-54 Fords.
Well I dig 4 doors and fat chicks. If you don't like them that's fine. More for me! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I had a similar reaction to this shoebox 4dr that appeared at some show in the NW this year. I keep waiting to see a magazine feature on it, but it hasn't happened yet:
Look at how tall the owner was,he sure as hell didn't want a coupe.Being a dwarf,I can drive them all
When I was a sophomore in high school [1961] one of the upperclassmen drove a dropped 54 ford fordor with a hotrod 352, 3 speed in it. MAN! That thing would lay rubber as far as he wanted it to. Was factory white with a blue top and sat about 3 inches off the ground.......wide whites with lancer flippers and dual pipes. Nosed and decked with black primer spots...Yeah! It had been a hand-me-down from his parents but he made a pretty decent mild custom, er, sorry...Kustom out of it. Wish I'd taken a photo.
