If I ever run out of projects I will chop mine 4". That said, the right stance is really all you need. 4" drop axle , original front spring with reverse eyes, original rear spring with reversed eyes and a couple leafs removed. Good luck!

Don't look at my current thread, but my vote is to leave the top alone. Some speed equipment on the motor. but i like it the way you have it.

  5. I'm not an old fart yet..I don't think.. and I like this stance a lot! something about the fenders and the top flows with it being lowered that much..it's different.

Leave it alone. Sedans look to long when chopped

Mild or no chop if your keeping fenders and agressive chop if your going fenderless is my personal preference. But you know the saying opinions are like A holes everybodys got one lol I'd love to have a fenderless sedan with a heavy chop

  9. Now if you really really really want to mess with some heads, Take 1 out of top and add 1-2 on the bottom. Vertically Shorten the windows and vertically lengthen the flanks. It will looked chopped more than it is and make them really scratch their heads when the interior stays the same size.

Plus that's different and sure don't follow any formula

It's obvious you had it in your head to chop it when you started this thread, so make yourself happy. Start at 3 see how you like it and go from there.

I'm honestly not even sure who's car this is. I stole the photo off of Jordan Graham's facebook page. I'd like to know some more about it as well.

I totally agree! You may want to add some louvers, sale of the whitewalls may help cover the cost. Bob

At least 3"or don't bother and not more than 5 1/2" or body to window ratio starts to look funny. Make it look like a hotrod. This is a hotrod forum right?

  26. We chopped my buddies 4" with full fenders & a deuce rad shell, 4" dropped axle and T rear spring. It looks bitchin and he uses it to run the family in everywhere. really comfortable ride, looks sneaky and dam fast. If you want stock go to the Barn, great guys there as well. Just my two cents.

If you're gonna chop it, put a motor in it to match the new attitude. A mean chopped car and a wimpy motor is passive aggressive.

I am in the "don't chop" camp.

Agree with Larry. Chopped with the banger don't seem right. The look you have right now is traditional.

I, by the way, have one similar to yours and thought when I first put it together that it needed a little off the top. Since then I have grown to like it at stock height and it will stay that way.

Here is an old picture. I think that I reverse the front spring and put the hood back on since the picture.
