I just thought this could be a bit of a education for me and a good laugh for all of us.:D
But why don't we or more correctly YOU put together our own "official" Top 100 list of Hot Rods here?
And if possible could you put a picture with your vote as well?
Should we also limit it to from 23's up to 40' Fords and whatever other make, and also to Hot, Rat and Retro Rods, NO Billet or STREET Rod what do you think?

  2. I'll start. I'm quite fond of Metalshape's car.

    1. Mercury Charlie's T coupe, not sure if he is on the board or not.
    2. Fatabone's A coupe

These are 2 of my favorites at the moment.

    Mmmmmmmmm.....Deuce Tudor. Fab32
    Deuce Roadster. Roadstar
Both drivers. That's what makes a car cool.

  5. Me too.
I sat in this car once, actually in was easy, out again was a bitch, that's my hand print on the metal just above the top rear corner of the driver's door.

Don't know if you know Alex or not, but this little coupster is Alex to the Max. The man is Jam Up, just like his ride.

I'm not sure if this is a HAMB car or not. It's my personal favorite, however.

I don't have the capacity to do this, but if the board does produce a reasonable list of 100 cars with images, is it possible that someone could place all of these images together and make a poster of them in a 10 by 10 matrix or somthing similar?... might be real cool fundraiser for the hamb... just a random thought...

  17. I don't know that I could narrow it down to 100.
    :D
Although I'm partial to the Roach Rod.
Then of course there's Shag's truck.
    Killer's 56.
    Plowboy's.
    Leadsledmerc's truck & sedan.
    Death's doorstep.
Big Olds...hell it just goes on and on.
The more I type, the more they come to mind.....
    There isn't a car on here I don't like.

The more I think about it there should be the top 1000 hot rods! There are so many nice cars here, I like the early styling of AV8Paul's roadster, and Pigpen's T is cool as hell. Deuce Roadster's deuce roadster is stunning, and real, and driven, and his 3W will be just as cool. There's some awesome cars in the works right now too - is Rolf's A on the road yet? That thing is pure hot rod - and the worksmanship is amazing. How about Larry's 3w? Dang, I think 06 will be a good year. Grim's roadster is definitely a contender, as well as the entire class of HA/gr cars being built. Anything Roadstar touches turns to hot rod gold. His Tudor was bad ass, and he drives that awesome roadster all over the country. Big Olds - that goes without saying. I guess Denise is in both the hot rod and custom top 100:D

    tunglegubbin's roadster

    rocky/t-man's '33 truck

    visor's '40

    either of c9's cars

all of the cars mentioned so far

a bunch more that i'll think of eventually

there's a couple of cars each from sweden and austrailia that are worthy but i can't think of the owners' names right now. (edit: tunglegubbin's from sweden so his is one of the swedish cars i was thinking about)

Let me see. Where do I start?

av8's little blue highboy. You know the one made famous as the car built in the "bible", "How to Build a Traditional Ford Hot Rod."

    c9's '31 roadster.

av8's '48 F-1 Pickup. Its somewhat the model for mine.

    Denise's Big Olds.

    Elpolacko's Ford truck.

The Roach Rod, as it will be in the near future.

And even though they're not owned by a H.A.M.B.er's:

Bill Niekamp's little blue roadster, the FIRST AMBR winner.

Rich Guasco's '29 roadster, another AMBR winner. (he might be a lurker)

Joe McClelland's old '31 Sport Coupe. Even though its owned by someone else now, I'm remembering it's still the way Joe built it with the Crager headed banger motor.

These pretty much epitomize the spirit of hot rodding and the H.A.M.B.

  25. well if I cant pick my own, then Loudpedals would be my favorite as well, NA Loudpedals would still be my #1 pick even if I could pick my own deathbox. :)
