Hey all i need help, this car was in boxes!!.
Working on a 1930 (real) Ford roadster.
    Where does this piece go????
Is it the outer front filler piece for the dash rail? image.jpg

I tried mocking it up there but seems that the curvature is different, does it belong to a roadster or a closed car???

That top piece in photo one is an extra A part, it fits closed body cars. Bob

Also, is there a gas tank difference between closed car and roadster?? image.jpg
I have a 1/4" or so gap at the dash rail and the gas tank(see pic)
Is there a filler piece i am missing or is the front outer dash rail just junk??

Who sells the best quality 1930-31 Roaster dash rail (not the Snyder's)?

Here is a pic of the roadster for those who asked.

Ok, your dash rail has the front flange with the captive nuts rotted away, that is why it looks like it doesn't fit. All 30-31 gas tanks in that area are the same. When you do order a new dash rail be sure to get the lead filler pieces that fit between the rail and lower windsheild stantions. You have the upper stantions on the wrong side, that nub on the bottom keeps them from folding back.. Bob

Yea the nubs are like that because the owner wanted a slight rake to his window..
We added a stopper to it so it stays in place since the photos were taken.

@The37Kid: this "lead" piece you mention do you have any pics of that at all or any leads to where i can see one?

I hate to be a pain in the ass, this is the first real roadster i have ever been involved with. Thanks

If you need a dash rail look for Original Ford,
After market require a lot of work to fit correct
no matter witch vender you buy from.
