Technical Partially Buried Car ID?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by PushnFords, Dec 3, 2014.

  1. Weekends coming up.
I hope by the end of it, we get to see it dug out.
We don't have snakes down here, can't help but wonder what a weedwacker would do to a snake.:D

I could use that deck lid if you find that you don't need it. Got a lid-less 34 that would match it perfectly.

I'd cut the back window out and hang it on the wall.

Whatever happened with this one? Is it yard art somewhere or were they crazy enough to put it on the road?!

No thread about it that I know of and thats all the pics, (my friend may have more)The car was on the side of where a old road was dozed out and they just covered the car up and left it years ago until my buddies dug it up, (they did hire a backhoe after these pics were taken to make shorter work of it) they have all kinds of tri fives but I think they may have sold this one or what was left of it,
Im pretty sure most of the convertible parts were salvaged and used.

I don't see anything there that would count as scrap. What is visible of the back section of the car there could easily be cut up to make patch panels to fix cars with rotted out windows, roof sections, windshield frames, wrinkled quarters, creased or rotten body lines, etc. I say patch panels because if you can fit it in a box and ship it, someone will eventually buy it from you on epay because they NEED THAT PIECE. It looks like you might even have doors there. Even if they're mangled and rotten, the hinges are worth something and junk doors can hang on a wall.

It looks like there may even be a chance of there being enough to it to start a build out of. You could probably build an old beater racer with that body at any rate.

I think one of the above you are just born with. If you could get one for $3 there'd be quite a market....
