well just say you probably wont like this car when its done :) im basically cloning a car i really like, pics of it are in this thread, im not gonna "fix" stuff on it to make it look like every other hot rod 32 out there, to me the car im copying has a good look to it and im going with it. only major thing ill change is the sweep of the headers

I am enjoying your coupe build ! I also agree with the older style of your build and if memory serves me the cars did not all look the same.

  6. I'd call this car "Lon Chaney" after the man of a thousand faces!

Started out like Bella Lagosi... turned into Boris Karloff and now...?

    Glad you're saving it...

  7. Great build. Looks like the perfect 32 hot rod. Are you going to make some type of zoomie style pipes for her?

Yeah Titus, I can't wait to see its completion. So could you give a brief description of the way you say your going to tweak the exhaust look so I can get a better visual in my head. This is to further the drooling of course.

thanks everyone for the compliments, gonna try and pull it down from the frame table today or tomorrow.

Shine, basically less upsweep on the headers

Got her down off the frame table today, scrammed a couple cars out of my shop so i could get going on another customers car that needs to go on the frame table so i yanked this think off. got it on the ground and got the front suspension under it and got the motor and trans back in it.

Anyone give you any info on the valve covers? They're really cool. I've gone back through and stared at them a few times now.

Wow, looks amazing. I may have to build a chopped and channeled 32 5W.

no info as of yet, heres a quick pic of them thrown on the motor
    downsized_1130141139.jpg
but i also like these edelbrocks
    downsized_1130141143.jpg
but then i see the pic of the car with chrome covers and may have to go that route, i feel the first ones match the era of my edmunds 2x2 cadi intake better and edelbrocks seem a little late for the horne but then im just being a pain in the ass!

Often wondered what happened to that body. Glad to see it fell into the right hands. Excellent work and great progress. Subscribed and looking forward to more.

I saw the car in the wild at the auction. I am an ambitious bastard, but I didn't think the car was worth building. Glad to see it getting pieced back together.

Lookin' good. I like the no-name valve covers best.

  24. Nice! Reminds me of mine in the 60's

Good work. I would not ever start a project with the demands of the work you have expended.. Great job..

  26. Not at all! Little details like making sure the intake and valve covers fit the same era together and what makes a car stand out. I notice things like that, and it bugs me when it's off.

  27. I agree with you- the no name are a much better compliment to the Edmunds intake and are, in general, more pleasing to the eye!

  28. Cool project, Jeff! There was a time when I would have killed for that coupe back section and back window. ROCKYS32.jpg
