The reason I have not been building much, This is part of my collection. Had to put it in storage for a while with almost everything else I own. The storage facility was broken into, I lost everything.

Its made my a Williams Brothers Clear plastic model. Painted it a flat black with a glass over it. Flames are decals. Made a dash for it and rear vert cover. Added a steering wheel and changed the wheels on it. Added BMF doe the chrome bumpers and grille.

  10. I seem to have lost track of this thread for awhile, or I lost track of time. Anyway, these are the last few things I've built.

Thanks guys, the models have been in storage for a few months it was only last month it all vanished, oh well, start again. It was all packed into cardboard boxes and into the storage unit, I kind of wonder if they got it to there 'base' they opened it wand went WTF!!?? Its not a common target!
I had been working on some though I tend to start newer kits and eventually leave the last one partially built! So finishing a kit has become a rare event.
Halfasskustoms, again building those small 1/87 models, they look great!
Philo, is that a Dornier do24? What scale is that, it looks like a decent sized kit and a nice build.
Thumper, the Merc looks good, live the wheels. Also like the workspace you have!
Wojojo, that is a mean looking 40 in black, definite trad style!
Lyle, as always your builds are fantastic. The paint is superb, as is the wood on the Woody Merc! Super clean builds!
    Cheers,
    Doc.

  19. I'm building an old-time high boy from the Blue Bandito kit. NOT a rat rod,,,,just a traditional stripped down Model A with a flathead. The bed "risers" are 1/4" X 2-1/8" plastic strips. Sheet plastic covers the molded-in tuck&roll door panels, painted flat aluminum. All of the yellow / silver version parts are still in the kit so I used the stock seat, weathered. I'm using Replicas & Miniatures' resin Studebaker wheels.

  20. Doc,

Sorry to here about your loss. Keep an eye on eBay, Craig's list, and the local swap meets, because like you said, the odd's are that wasn't what they were looking for. I had a similar break in at my shop many years ago, but thankfully (?), they skipped the Model Collection in the office, and went straight for the shop equipment (air compressor, engine hoist, etc).

More progress...frame lengthened, interior tub lengthened, found a set of bias tires at a hobby shop rummage. Wheel chrome removal didn't go well but still getting painted, any thoughts on color scheme?
