Thanks for the info, are there different models? My hats are smooth and the one at the link have lines on the hat.
Awsome thread!!! Great hotrod and very nice work youre Doin! Its nice when keepin the old hotrod history and at the same time make it driveable here in Sweden Tumbs up!
Ok, been driving the 29 and im not satisfied with a Cruise speed at 50mph. After the summer i will change the gear ratio, dont want to tear it down in the middle of the summer. Something that i can do is to change the 15 rear tires with L78-15 (dont like them anyway) to 16 with 7,50 tires. Im not to exited to mess with this, i Think 16 may f#ck up the stance and i cant use my Lincoln hubcaps that i want, also they might look to big with fenders an 15-5,60 in front. The rear rims i got now are to wide and reproductions and the L78 doesent fit the car at all so my original plan was to use Ford 15 rims and 8,20 Firestone (got 2 F100 rims from a friend).
Just found this one......very cool. Keep it up. I like the truck, but your skills are keeping me here......reading, and waiting......next post ready sir.
Thanks! Had to rebuild the radiator and now im waiting for a waterpump thats need to be changed. It would be nice to take a long trip with this one.
Beautiful little truck, I'd drop the headlights a bit, straighten the top bow on the windshield and call it good . awesome find, man! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Finally found a waterpump, they were back ordered everywhere. Now it works great, stays cool and in fact to cool. I need some thermostats, anyone know what fist old Evans heads? Maby the stock Ford thermostats fit?
Tore down the rear axle, ive had hoped for 4:11 but it had the common 3:78. Ordered a ned 3:54 from joblotauto.com that will be put in before next summer. Not much difference between 3:78 and 3:54 but its alittle better.
Got my rebuilt axle back, sadly all the old red paint fell off when i cleaned it at work. Just need some new bushings for the shackles then i will put it back.
The old tires was worn out and front tires started to wobble so i mounted some other wheels i bought back from my old T-Bucket.
