Not on YouTube, but I did shoot a quick video in Scottsdale this weekend and put it on my company's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WizardsProducts

I gotta say, I LOVE the car, but there are two things that bug me.

    1. After someone pointed it out to me, I can't look at the car without seeing it. The grill shell leans forward at the top. I assume this was to clear the fan. It's slight, maybe an inch or so, but there.

    2. It's probably one of the coolest things about the car, yet the thing that doesn't fit in my eyes. I overheard the owner say that he was going after a period perfect 1962 build - the car that the movie studio would have built for Milner in American Graffiti had the had the budget. If this was the case, the Ardun headed flatty should not have been the engine choice. By 62 the flatty was old news - even an Ardun headed flatty. Keep the 4-71 and the Hilborn, but throw it on top of a Hemi. Don't get me wrong, I love the Ardun, but not for this particular build. Am I off base?

  8. @Bull -

Here's an excerpt from the opening scene of the original screenplay:

While I agree that Lucas most likely envisioned Milner's coupe "sporting a CHRYSLER Hemi-V8" ... technically (even in '62), it could have been "sporting an ARDUN (OHV conversion) Hemi-V8".

All I can say is that that car will make all of those "Graffiti coupe" clones run and hide when it shows up at a rod trot.
As much as I liked the car in the actual movie I've never been a fan of the clones thinking it's a silly wanabee thing. That car though is a few steps above the clone cars.

Certainly one exceptionally cool ride, well done!

  11. What had to be done to get the 2-port Hilborn work on the street?

  12. The grille is parallel to the cowl, which is the way it should be. The angle between it and the blower drive belt is what's bothering you. If it wasn't for the belt drawing attention to the difference in angle, you wouldn't even notice it.

Saw this in Scottsdale. Great car and it sounds like a badass.

    Well done to everyone involved.
