Next going to pull column and install my new retro horn kit from limeworks.. This allows you to use the original horn.. Here are the photos of what I have been getting done after work when its dark.. :)

Brian, awesome work ! Glad you didn't sell. One of the best looking '41 Plymouth's on the site.

I'd be interested in your headlight and park bezels if you swap to a '40 and wish to part with them.

How does a family of 5 fit in a business coupe?

I am also glad I didnt sale, at the time just didnt know if I had the time to build it ect..We were in need of a larger home at the time and I just didnt know how much we needed to put down on the new purchase.. If I change to 40 plymouth head lights you will be the first to know.. The family of 5 fitting into the coupe :) I guess you can call it time away with the wife..She says its a 2 dr for a reason.. My 1st car was a '41 coupe Special Deluxe with the "Jump" seats in the back. I didn't even have my drivers license yet - that was 48 years ago. We restored it over a 5 year period and ended up dating my future wife in it. You know it's a real "play ground" in the back with the jump seats out of the way-LOL! I vote to keep the '41 head lights since I've seen too many other '41's change to '40 head lights. Good luck with the build, and most of all enjoy the car with your family.

Getting closer guys.. I got the rear suspension cover welded in and am happy with the outcome.. Got the braces back in like they should be..Started putting together the accuair components.. Been waiting for this day for a long time.. Started this build a year ago last month.. When I get everything mounted and the holes drilled for the airlines I will undercoat the floor and add some heat shielding..

F.C.Fury, hey man I have posted as I have built this thing and no one has said much of anything. I took 2 inches out of the front bumper brackets. Almost ready to start.

    Englands54, parents just don't understand!

I have some grandiose kustom plans for my 41, after my A project is on the road next year. I get guff from people saying that my intended changes will ruin the car, should leave it stock, don't do this or that, or that I should build it the way they want it built.

Too Bad! I only have a limited number of days on this planet and I intend to enjoy them as I see fit.

I have a picture of Jochen's Plymouth's (in profile and in bare steel) framed and set up next to my computer as an incentive to save money and prioritize so I can hopefully do the marque justice. Seeing his build was what turned me on to this specific year and body style (a local HAMB member has a nifty late 40's club coupe which is entirely bad assed and raised my eyebrows to 40's Plymouths as a whole yeas ago) as well the rest of the Plymouth builds on the HAMB; the people you mentioned are the same people who inspire me as well.

At least you are going to be driving your car and enjoying it.

Thanks guys, I hope to be able to take it to the West Coast Custom show next year.. I went to brass works radiators today to have a new brass custom radiator built to cool this thing down.. They made me a cash deal and I couldnt be happier.. I am glad there are a couple of you that like it besides me.. Should be a fun car when its on the road..

WOW ! I had not checked on this thread in a while, boy did I miss out....

Very, very nice work. Be proud of your effort!

Is that an original or replica fuel rationing stamp on the passenger side windshield?

    1. I finally took it for a ride on Mother's Day with my wife. So excited and she needs a good wash now. It's nice to finally walk around it.
