Hey was wondering if someone could help me with a measurement on my car. I question if the panel that the latch catch bolts to is to low. There is no adjustment without modifying it but it is a aftermarket panel and who knows if its perfect. So when I latch the trunk I have to push it way deep to make it catch and it would never work on a finished car.
    Thanks!

My coupe measures a fat 1-1/2". You could use washers as shims under your striker plate to raise it up for better engagement with the latch.

  4. That dimension on my cabrio is a slim 1 1/2". I will say this....when I first got my new-old decklid on, I had to adjust it up by at lest a quarter. I stuck a long screw driver through it and pulled it up. Came up real easy and works real well now. It is an original piece. Hope this helps..Tim

I have had to use washer shims on the latch catch to get it to work right. Any easy fix and should work for you.
