Hot Rods 46 Chevy truck id tag

I just bought a 46 Chevy ton and a half truck, it has the clear title, the vin tag was removed for restoration, i have the tag and all numbers match etc. Problem is im not sure where the tag goes once the restoration of the paint is complete...
Also are there any other places on the truck cab or frame where i can check the vin numbers?

Look for the holes on the passenger side of the cowl, under the hood.

 

Do you know if there are any numbers stamped in the frame anywhere.... sure wouldn't mind making sure the numbers match being someone removed the tag from the cab... im sure everything is fine but just peace of mind knowing before i start restoration.
