Sad News! been a long time fan........I think they have been in reruns for about two years or so..
NPR announced their 'retirement' back then.......but even the reruns are a hoot.

Rest In Peace Tommy! Condolences to Brother Ray.....and Family

Always enjoyed their show. Tom and Ray made car repair interesting and accessible to a mainstream audience. And they had a lot of fun doing it.

What a bummer . He and his brother were a hoot to listen to . Some of the stuff they came up with had me in tears laughing so hard . That pic (above) with him in his old MG-TD is pretty cool . R.I.P.

Wonderful guys to listen to, and inspiring human beings themselves. Very sad to hear of Tom's passing. Wonderful laugh. He will be missed dearly.

In college I was an affiliate announcer in Tucson (KUAT/KUAZ) during Weekend Edition for almost three years, and "Car Talk" was always my favorite. He will sorely be missed!

Saw this in yesterdays paper and was saddened. One of the shows that kept radio like it was in the 50s when I was a kid and gave me entertainment on a lot of car trips. Tom and Ray truly enjoyed what they did and it showed. Their joy was shared with us in their laughter and it was good. I take it the law firm of Dewey, Cheatum and Howe will be handling the probate and the wake will be held in Cambridge Square, catered by Dunkin Donuts of course. God rest your soul, Tommy.

For many years their show helped me feel connected to the rest of the world. I will miss it. All the Hemmings ads today were for Dodge Darts.

The producer had me on speakerphone during the breaks - they were going back & forth
just having a good time in the studio.
Many many many miles and smiles with Tom and Ray over the years.

    God Bless Tom
