Features Ford Thunderbolts Photos Wanted

Cant remember if this has been posted or not. Found it on the drag cars in motion thread.

 

This add has been in the National Dragster for a few weeks now. Sorry for the crappy pic. Know anything about it Troublemaker?

 

Here is a photo of the original car before it was morphed into a butchered match race car. It came from Mid-City Motors in Baton Rouge, LA.

 

A fellow dragracer here in Virginia was kind enough to share these photo,s of the Donati-Glassco Rebel Rouser (ex-Farnham T-Bolt). He is Fletcher Harrison, and is very knowledgeable about Richmond Dragway and other Va. tracks. These pics were probably taken in 1966, as it has no lettering. It also appears to have the stock suspension, but roll bars and head rest installed.

 

Anyone see pics? I see nothing.

The Old Drag Racers Reunion (ODRR) is having their 14th reunion in Panama City Fl this Friday through Sunday. and will feature a special tribute to the golden anniversary of the Thunderbolt. ODRR has commitments from 16 owners of T-Bolts. A seminar by former Ford Drag Racing Program coordinator Charlie Gary and former Ford employee Dick Brannan to talk about the Thunderbolt program will be held. Events include car shows and 1/8 mile drag racing as well as awards dinners.

 

Anyone heard from Troublemaker lately? Not seen him on here and no response to p.m. I sent him.

I'm like Muttley, "SAD". No post in almost a month.? Only 2 responses to my pics of the wrecked Rebel Rouser T-BOLT at Richmond. I had hoped they would stir someone to recall what happened to car afterwards. I am ready to give up on trying to talk to Jimmy Donati about the car. So be it.! Jim;

 

I do my part to keep the thread going. Still searching everywhere I can to find Thunderbolt photos.

Neat picture. Looks like the top,s not painted gold on Tasca car. We used to run nights at Colonial Beach in Virginia in the early 60's. Jim

 

Its time to bump this thread to the top.

 

I talked to Wayne Hoenes the other day and he said he had driven the "Rebel Rouser" T-Bolt several times and it was not much fun. He said driving the "Outlaw" M/P 55 Chevy was way more fun. Anyway, he said Pete Glassco was driving when the wreck happened at Richmond, and doesn't know what happened to either car afterwards.? Jim
