Great pictures! So many nice rides there. I saw the Riviera at Indy. Really nice work on that car. Thanks for posting!

Thanks, Crazy. I didn't shoot as many cars this year as I did at the first Revival. For one thing, there were way more cars this year. I have lots more, not to worry, but I did miss a lot that I see in other coverages! DSC_3593.jpg DSC_3734 - Version 2.jpg DSC_3737.jpg

  8. Tom,
The time and work you put into these great shots sure shows off in all these great photos of some outstanding hot rods.
Thanks for letting us all that could not make the trip this year follow along with you.
You are a master my friend......Hope to be lucky enough to have you shoot one of my rods some time.

Tom, thank you for the fantastic shots of the '32. Wow. As for the wheel, I bought it at Hershey decades ago for $10. It is a cast aluminum Kiekhaufer Quicksilver boat wheel from the early to mid 1950's. I really liked it as it kept with the overall marine theme of the Thickstun flathead. Plus it had fins! It has been extensively converted from a marine taped square-peg blind mounting to a 3-bolt Grant-style automotive steering column adapter. It was a significant effort to complete the conversion, as the boat wheel was also open on the back. Machinist Pat Krause, Posie ("Dutch") and Clark Bates all put their magic into making this wheel work on the car. Thanks for asking.

Thanks for the info, Jay. By concentrating on getting the shot right, many times I fail to catch details that I later see in the shot....that wheel was one of those, otherwise I would have asked you about it as I wished I had when I saw it at home! I was quite pleased with the interior shot.

Tom, thanks so much for taking shots of the Merc. The pictures are amazingly crisp and seem to jump off of the screen, fantastic work! It was an honor to have you photograph the car on it’s maiden voyage! The car was 13 years in the works and participating in this event was worth the wait!

The pleasure was all mine, Eliot! I just wish I would have had a better background here.
