Great old video filmed at L.A. County Raceway and Pomona Home of the Winter Nationals. One of my favorite Munster's episodes featuring "The "Munster Mobile" and Dragula"............ ENJOY

    Note:
    1) "L.A. County Raceway" was located in Palmdale, Ca.
    2) "Pomona Raceway" is located at Los Angeles County Fairgrounds (aka: Fairplex), in Pomona.
    3) I believe the episode was filmed at Lions Drag Strip in Long Beach, CA. However, there was some actual drag race footage from Pomona Raceway.

Yeah looked like they used a couple different locations. Still great footage regardless.

Sorry, I didn't want to sound like I was correcting you. The Munsters is a great TV show. It is my favorite episode. Check out the other cars--> race cars and cars in the background.

Not a prob I didn't move there untill mid 70's. Thanx for the info. I learned something. Thought it would be a cool share for all the young guys that missed out on an awsome decade.

  10. This is awesome thanks for posting. I loved watching the Munsters as a kid and still do on YouTube. I had never seen this hot rod episode though, quite entertaining.

I remember watching reruns when I was a kid. I liked the episodes with the cars the best. They also did at least 1 movie that featured the cars where Herman was in a road race in the Dragula. I also built the model kit that had both cars in it. Thanks for sharing fastrnu. Jim Ford

I remember when that episode first aired. Dragula was all the talk of the cool kids in the fifth grade.

I have a copy of "Munster go home". I think Fred Gwynn must have taken quite a beating doing all those driving scenes; Dragula was a "hard tail".

There is a clip of Al Lewis doing wheel stands with the Drag U La on the net that I have seen, but can't find it anywhere now. Looked like someone's home movie camara. Would be cool to see it again.
