Thanks, Muttley, again, for a great set of shots...This one deserves special mention, Doug Robinson in the mid-60s...Doug was one of those rare racers who both built their own chassis and their own engines..most racer went to Woody or Kent, or.....Doug once worked at Blair's and then went on to start Horsepower Engineering in north Pasadena....he welded up headers during the day and built this car at night,,,started with a fuel wedge Dodge, but after Mike Barnett drove it off the end at Pomona, Doug rebuilt it with a hemi and drove it himself...became razor sharp on the lights despite being, in the late Danny Roberts words, "blind as a bat." He later went lakes racing and, as far as I know, still is.
