Event Coverage 2014 blanket run

Any Indy guy's out there going to continue the Blanket Run since Thom left town?

 

There was a post on the facebook page on Oct 11th saying details coming soon. Don't know who's doing it but I'm glad it's not gonna die. The date is Dec 6th 2014.

Thom left town? where did he go? is his shop closed then?

 

My brother and I want to bring our Fords this year.

 

What is the latest on the Blanket Run for this year? I am having trouble finding info.

I always enjoy seeing the photos of the blanket run and really appreciate the vicarious ride along.

Yes, there will be a "Blanket Run 2014. " Dec. 6 at 8:00 am. It will start at 4018 west 10th. St. Indy 46222 Speedway IN. The address will not show up on google maps or gps, but that is the address. The starting place is in the Speedway Industrial Park, on west 10th. St. there will be a sign on 10th. showing where to turn into the park. If you go to the Blanket Runs' facebook and look under the comments and post there is directions' telling how to get there. Hope to see everybody there on Sat. Remember to bring a new or gently used blanket.

 

so does it start with donuts at 8 and we leave the shop to start the run at 9?

 

It's probably going to start with a heavy jacket and a poncho.

 

I was wondering why they called it a blanket run.

 

40Standard, yes there will be coffee and donuts, the doors open at 8 and the run will start around 9. Tommyd, bring your Fords all cars are welcome, hot rods or daily drivers it a fun day and some cool stops the lunch that all I know right now as you know it changes up every year. Don't forget to bring your blankets for the Homeless of Indianapolis.
