    They were exciting times in retrospect ......remember being wowed by a dragster ( slingshot ? ) running in the 9's .

    Very awesome coupe picture! Isn't that Ed Eaton's low ride'n "T" bucket? Very cool!
     
  11. never thought I'd say this but I like the east coast channel on the 34
    better than the fendered chopped 32 3 window!

    The magazines from the time period are a great source of reference, but the stories and photos from the guys "in the street" are a TRUE treasure. Thanks for posting.

    It's easy to see why the track was like being on ball bearings. The sand was everywhere!

  22. WOW some great stuff!
    Check out the blown '32.
    Looks like a machined aluminum manifold
    for the 4 barrel BUICK carb.
     
  23. Great stuff! Thanks to you and your customer for the pics. I must say I'm a little surprised at the extent of body modifications on most of the cars. Not just some chopped tops but Z'd frames and some serious sectioning going on there. Some real hot-rods.

    rustywrench: That '32-'34 p-up is showing a PA state insp sticker, and you can almost make out Easton PA ?on the cardboard sign. Possible NY, NJ, PA show?
