Technical Body filler over seam sealer

    I'm reattaching the rear quarter panel but want to blend them to the body. I was planning to use seam sealer with body filler over that to smooth it out. Any issues you guys can think of doing that?

  2. Not a good idea my friend as the seam sealer will allow the body/fender to flex and your filler will crack . Welding is the only option here . Bridge your two panels with sheet metal . That will cut down on a pile of filler you would need to use otherwise .

    Great thank you. Bridging the fender with sheet metal will solve some other issues as well.
