Used to see Don play every Wensday night at Henrys Bar and Grill in Austin.
We called it going to church.
Never a cover, Just Don singing and playing rythm guitar, skinny Don Keyling on P-bass, And Jimmy Day (played with Hank Williams, Ray Price, even Elvis)on steel.

    It was heaven.

Two thumbs WAY up for the Old Crow Medicine Show!! O.C.M.S. kicks it.

    My list:
Webb Wilder (amazing fusion of rockabilly, blues, country and rawk)
SRV (I feel blessed to have seen him live before he passed)
    Mofro (swamp blues/soul/funk)
Jet (their tune from the iPod commercials isn't even one of their good ones)
The Thorns (like the second coming of CSN)
Alison Kraus + Union Station (don't laugh, this chick is amazing)

Nothing wrong with being the oddball; I've got the same stuff.
I've got 80 or 90 cd's in the garage, a wide variety. Right now in the changer
Drive By Truckers, Johnny Cash, Frank Zappa, Allman Bros. , and Skynyrd.
