Got this guy home and cleaned up. Remover 4" lowering blocks and did a complete check out. Found a very nice rust free body except the floor pans. They had been scabed in some time ago. Found that most of the electrical was TU so the plan to "fix" stuff turned into a cosmetic re-do.
Needed to take out the dash or most of it to fix multiple problems. Found what was left of the build sheet in the process. Confirms much about the car.
Had to fix the fuzzies on the garnish moldings, used pop rivets instead of messing with the staples. A touch of black paint and they disappear.
On to the engine and engine bay and the front sheet metal. Decided to leave the fire wall in it's stock paint. The "scars" under the relays are factory grease pen marking of Q E R which is the paint code for the car.
Turned out great! What was your time frame on redoing the car? I wish my friend would get on his!! ROY.
Just a little over a year. I'm retired and between traveling to visit the kids and family I average about 5 - 6 hours on any given project. Try to stay on just one at a time but there are more then one here at the house!
