Hot Rods Do you know what this is?

Found this on some hunting ground. the running boards are half buried and rusted but I did see they have spare tire wells The head light buckets have a flat back on them.
can you help?

 

Look at 1926-28 BUICK photos, Five Passenger Coupe. Bob

 

Did a Buick have suicide doors? this body does..?

 

No tags, numbers on it?

Buick's rear body shape is different and as evidenced by the handle placement has conventional doors.

Maybe Hudson, Essex? I'd start there, around 26-28.

 

Still looking, Hudson had the suicide doors, and double ribed belt moulding in 1927. Bob

 

Not sure what it is, but the fenders look different on the Buick. Someone will know in the next 10 post's.

This is what I found stamped on the firewall passenger side.

 

Must be the year it was made.

That's a crazy ass number stamp though. What the hell ?

 

Got any pics? It does have the suicide doors like a hudson, My first thought was essex but I couldnt find anything on the net that looked like it so....
It reminds me of a 27ish cadillac, buick etc. but those didnt have the suicide doors

 

The rite person that knows isnt looking, 3 days and still no answer.
Anyone? Im curious to find out what it is myself now.

 

My book says Hudson would have a number on the dash, six digits, possible it was on a plate though. Same for Essex. Stude and Nash appear to have had conventional doors on closed cars.

Good eye @arkiehotrods! It's a 27-9 Model 33 "Club Coupe".

Here's a photo of a '28 Packard 443 firewall - identical in every respect to the one pictured (note the little notches in the corner)

I looked at packards and saw some coupes but no suicide doors, so after you posted (Arkie) I looked again and most of em have regular doors but not all so this one or whats left of it must be a fairly rare model,
"opera coupe"?
I did find this ad but the print is too small to read about it and I couldnt expand it clearly enough to read about it either, also heres another pic with the spare on the fender of one.

 

If you can find the rest of the remains and there's an engine left the number on that will positively ID the year; the wheelbase would ID the model. These were great big cars, though, the six with 126" and 133" wheelbases, the eight 136" and 143". 1929 saw the six replaced with an eight. Unfortunately my book doesn't give any clue as to just where the engine number actually is.
