LOL! A buddy of mine (James Beaver )may come visit tomorrow and if he does I guarantee that axle won't stand a chance! He is the same fella that built "Lil Red" (blown version of my 27 T).

Hey bean have you ever thought of trying to find a used measuring system from a body shop most of them sit up against the wall and collect dust , if you can get one or even a adjustable tram, or two you can square up that frame and body on no time hell you can even make a tram out of some square tubing and a couple old center punches welded to a piece of box tubing with a set screw wish I could draw a pucture but I think you can finger it out....

I follow what your saying Dirty.. Thing is where I need to place the axle there ain't a flat piece of chassis to be found...it's all humps and bumps!! Best I can figure man I just need to find a somewhat reliable measuring point in the car ( I'm using front body braces) and dropping down to the floor with a plumb. I'm going to square the rear end off of the front axle. I'm not sure there are 2 matching points on this sumbitch!!?

I for one , am ENVIOUS !!!!

 

I ain't gonna lie...it was pricy, but it was totally worth it. I cringe at the money I'm about to have to spend, but that's drag racing. Future money items include; Hightower 4-speed, fiberglass doors and deck lid, lexan windows, engine work....

Had a very nice visit with James and his family tonight. James also said that when I paint the car that I could use his paint booth. I would never have asked because I hate pushy people, but man am I glad he thought of it! He also gave me some tips on how to get all the dips out. I think this car may look good yet.......not that I care

 

Take it easy on the goods your gonna blow my doors off at the meltdown. Looks good

 

I'm doing everything I can man I just hope it's enough. Best part about the South East Gassers is that even with a good car you still have to be a good driver to win. My T wasn't easy to drive but these cars are just nasty. You can watch 2 pro-mod world champions on youtube fight to gather them up so ya know they're hairy. Wicked shit, but that's what makes it so cool.

Rear end is PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY If you pass on the fiberglass doors I got a pair of real light ones!! HA HA

Been thinking about how I want to do my ladder bars all day. Can't wait to jump on them but have to get this from end lined out this weekend. That's ok I can at least design them...maybe draw them out.

That rear is purdy, and I just have to say that my glass doors hang like shit. I would have kept my steel ones if I would have known.

Mine weigh about 85 lbs each and I need to shed every pound I can because I have no intention of going on a diet anytime soon. That's a lot of weight!
