Naaa damn it, I got stuck with some family stuff I had to do...bad timing.

I don't think I have missed it in seven years...thanks for the photos, almost like being there.

 

What is the story on the custom 40 vert? I see it has Boise county plates from Idaho. I have seen it posted in several events around the NW.

 

My dad helped my gradfather build it. It is chopped and sectioned and built the way my grandfather wanted to build one as a teenager in the 40's but he didn't quite have the skill at that time to do it. My grandfather has since passed away and it now belongs to my dad, who lives in Horseshoe Bend, ID.

 

I see Gary Duff working on Carl's coupe.
Nothing's changed !


If I had more then a weeks warning I would have come out for the event.
I take it the drag racing is gone from the event?

Eric, You're missed every year. Were your ears burning? Yeah, Carl now travels with a crew of old Ford experts, even has Bill Styles riding shotgun telling him when and how to shift. They checked his cotter pins at every stop. Next year for you old pal.

 

Drag racing has been gone for quite a few years now...ever since Speednazi got his "reckless driving" ticket...

 

What a great turnaout of beatiful cars!

The years just go flying by .........................Ahh,when I brought the "door" prize that was the last time...

No more waiting 2 hours for a cheeseburger at the Alger Tavern either?

I just checked , 2006 was the last time I was there.

The door prize was the 7th annual...and no, Alger's history after they fucked us so bad on the 8th annual.
