Wanted to thank everyone for the positive comments, I have to keep thanking MCW and the crew over there for the pride they are taking working on it.
Pass rocker got put on, and the heater is leaving to shave the firewall for a cleaner look (and we don't need a heater in Florida) they found a nice nest there. 20140912_093748.jpg 20140912_143756.jpg 20140912_143747.jpg

    Love the pictures.
Where did you get your patch panels? Did they fit easily or need a lot of trimming? I have to replace both rockers, front floors and toe boards.
I am getting ready to start on my chero soon. I finally decided to use an FE block. I have a 73 f350 engine and trans I am going to use. I really like the scoop on the roof. I may copy that. It will compliment the Edsel front end. Texas57 thanks for the heads up on the frame.

The only panels we bought were the rockers, everything else was made in house at MCW customs and their metal fabricators.
Make sure you post a build up of yours!

all 57/58 ford floor braces are the same 300 or 500 or convert, retrac, ranchero and wagon all use the same 4 rows of braces.

when in doubt on any thing ems, call us 216-541-4585 ask, be pushy if you need to, customer service will find me to get you a answer

honestly never thought about it, cause the power steering isn't really a big deal o me, and all the brakes are brand new and decided that would be ok till my budget grows a bit.

here's a little bit more progress on the motor detail 20140916_174541.jpeg

"power steering not a big deal" - best keep the stock steering wheel. might want to put something over distributor hole so something does not drop in there besides the distributor - same for valve cover holes..

Thanks, we did cover all holes.

And I'm not leaving the steering wheel it has now but it will have a 1958 Impala steering wheel.

Fatman Fab sells some really nice drop spindles that hold 70'ish camaro rotors. They even have tubular control arms. I have the uppers but not the lowers. Airbags in between. I used a lot of patch panels from Rock Auto and parts sourced of off Ebay. You will find you have to get creative with the metal repairs.

Check with Rick at Wirthit designs, he's got some neat stuff for these '57-'59 Fords and several others for that matter.

Nice job on the chopped Ranchero. The '58 Impala steering wheel will be just the right touch!

I apologize for the lack of updates but my inner fenders got stolen by a scrap metal guy and that set back my budget, along with some other expenses. But I'm back on it! Here are some body pictures 20150215_160939.jpg 20150215_160947.jpg 20150215_161406.jpg 20150215_161417.jpg 20150215_161048.jpg
