Lindsay Brooke is Senior Editor of Automotive Engineering International magazine, published by SAE International and read by vehicle engineers worldwide. He is also author and voice of SAE’s “Eye on Engineering” radio spot, heard Monday mornings on Detroit’s WJR 760-AM.

Brooke has written extensively about vehicles, automotive technology, manufacturing, and history for 30 years. He held various editorial positions at Automotive Industries magazine for 15 years, ultimately rising to chief editor.

Over the years Brooke’s freelance writing on automotive topics has appeared in The New York Times, AutoWeek, Popular Science, Popular Mechanics Online, Cycle World and other periodicals. He is the author of five books covering the history of Triumph motorcycles, Ford’s iconic Model T, and development of the Chevrolet Volt.

Brooke holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in journalism and communications from Shippensburg (PA) University. He is a member of SAE International and the Automotive Press Association.

On weekends he can be found riding his 2007 Triumph Bonneville and 1970 Honda CB100 and wrenching on his 1947 Willys CJ2A jeep.
