Technical Help diagnose this engine malady, listen to video please

1968 383 from a plymouth



One thing I wondered about is whether it has oil pressure. I don't own it, but thought about buying it until I heard this. Any help appreciated as always.

Can't tell from the video, but sure wouldn't consider buying it no matter what. There are others out there.

 

Run as fast and as far away from that as you can !

 

HAHAHA! I did. It doesn't sound like "a" bearing or lifter. It sounds like 'all' the bearings and lifters. There was ample, clean looking oil on the dipstick too.

 

Kind of sounds like a big dent in the oil pan.

 

sounds like if it keeps running its going to turn inside out ,

 

sounds like maybe oil pan, but that just a guess from video clip. doesnot sound like lifter chatter or bearing knock, sounds like a thud on pan or something.

 

Exhaust leak?

 

Something inside wants out....

 

Buy one of earlier year so it falls in HAMB rules,,,,68s too new for the HAMB

 

I'd rather see you burn your money than buy that----
