Well I suppose I could start a 1933 willys coupe build thread. Hopefully I'll be converting this sedan to a coupe. I've been collecting parts for the past few years while I was building my 1940 willys coupe.
I'll be using this 14-1 compression Hilborn injected SBC with an ansen scattershield and a 4 speed muncie. I don't love the 12 bolt 4.11 spool rear end but it'll be fine for now.
Sweet. We get to watch you play with your Willys again ? Popping the popcorn, Texas is ready ! Let the pictures roll !!! The 40 is a beast.
Let's hope that those garnish mouldings bring you a little of that baby blue 33 willys coupe mojo. Ohio George definately had it.
Nope, two totally different cars. This one looks decent but the entire floor is rotted out along with door bottoms.
Whoa -how did I miss this one getting started ? Gonna be good !!! Now, where does a fella find stuff like this ?
You my friend have a great sense of humor.......as well as an awesome sense of building drama......for these amazing builds of yours. I wonder if you almost challenge yourself, to just start from behind........only because it looks so stellar to soundly beat everyone else to submission? Lol......I love this shit. Next, please !!
As a matter of fact, I have missed several Willys builds here....just because there will be NOTHING raised from the dead better then your last Willys build. I can't even look at 'em. Everyone....I repeat.....everyone started with better stuff. This 36 is mint compared to that one. I can't imagine what you could do.......if given something cherry.
Kid campbell, you just got your name pinstriped on my 40 coupe with the short list of people who helped me build that car. Thanks for the kind words but I couldn't have done any of it without Lee Kay.
Maybe mount a 33" Goodyear slick there....it's traditional.....Baja style.....counterweighted wheelie bar for 'ya. Or maybe one of those hokey ass chrome trim rings. Being how you cut it out.....I'm betting it's gonna' be something cool and finished.
If you make the spare tire area look like a stocker I have seen people put a parachute there and my dad said that he once saw one with a huge combination wrench mounted horizontally like a push bar but I think that a parachute would look best. Maybe the wrench was an attempt to make weight for a gasser class while getting the weight as far back as he could for weight transfer and traction.
