  2. Well I've been working on the bed for a little bit now, Got the damaged fixed in the rolled part at the rear. Started on the rear bed mounts this last weekend. Next up is the front bed mount and custom front panel support, And lastly I'll be making a new tailgate. Then I'll get into the major reworking of the rear fenders.

Here are the bed tops before.

Justin, glad to see you back at it, and looking great, nice job...Jim

  6. Those stake pockets, or lack of really shine, love the tear-drop roll cover/filler!!

  7. Thanks everyone!

  8. Any chance of a "from-under" shot of those pockets? Were the original rear bed mounts vertical uprights, or ninety degrees w/ the bed floor?

  9. I'll try to get a under shot this weekend. As for the original mounts I cant remember exactly but I believe the cross members for the wood floor bolted directly thru the frame.

Really loved this truck when i first saw it, luckily I came across a 52 a few days ago and I couldnt pass it up. It is missing the frame however I am getting a 95 Dakota running and driving chassis with the purchase. Just curious what your opinion was on that frame, my dream right now is to bag the truck with a 360 for the engine.

  21. Honestly I dint know anything about the Dakota chassis but I have heard of a couple people doing the swap. so it should work. Good luck on your project.

If you get a short bed regular cab it fits very well. My buddy just finished his and it fit nice. Mine has the Dakota front clip and factory back half, it fits great.
