Went out for rounds 3 and 4 last Sunday on my once-in-a-lifetime mega pick honey hole. Finally got the guy to cut loose with his Ardun heads and a complete V8-60 Jiggler motor. They'll likely go to the grave with me and I definitely plan on running the Jiggler in my 30' American Austin roadster. Given the rarity of both sets of heads and the staggering price tag on a repoduction set of Ardun heads, I'd be curious to know if anyone has an idea what they'd be worth? The Ardun's are original serial numbered castings with original rocker assemblies, and appear to be NOS.

I'll give you a hint, 3WLARRY... Got them and a slew of other early Hemi/flathead parts for less than the price of a new set of Ardun heads.

I assume you mean numbers, Russco. I believe they are somewhere around 570 something. Don't have them right in front of me to be sure.

  10. I have a friend who has a good friend that has been collecting for years. He has several sets of the heads so I will try to find out what the going value might be.

I'd never sell 'em...Find of a lifetime! (got that same 'buzzing' looking at them that I get every time I score a '37 Ford V860 Tube axle...)
    Kudos to you!

just don't leave them where the scrappers will see them, that's about $50.00 in scrap there.

well, I do know the lastest version from Don Ferguson can be had for under 14K complete. I'd place an original set of NOS (IF all parts are there) at around 20K.

If they were mine the only wall they would hang on is over the top of some cylinder walls!

Truly amazing score! The Arduns are awesome, but those Smith jigglers have always intrigued the hell out of me. Enjoy!

  26. Great find! That Smith Jiggler 60 is worth what you paid for the whole lot all by itself. The best running Jiggler 60 wouldn't out run a good Clay Smith built 60, but the rarity makes them priceless.

I sold the NOS set of ARDUN heads I had to a dealer, for a then record price of $2,500, I need to payoff the plumber for all his work when we built our house. That was back in 1978. Selling the ARDUN V8-60 for $2,200 worth of repro 1932 Ford Roadster parts is something I'll always regret. Bob
