This is the body that came to our shop a whilst ago,it was hacked that bad we advised our customer to finding a replacement body, and thankfully he was in the position to.

The body is now on ebay with 12 hrs remaining sporting a thick overcoat of bondo and primer and upto 11k.I would hate for someone to spend that kind of money for a bad product.

i hope this helps any people thinking of bidding the last minute or people currently bidding, thanks

Click on seller name in ad to see who you are dealing with. I get it, the car is a zombie; not quite back from the dead.

Good of you to let others know, it's easy to be fooled by pictures and descriptions. No, I wasn't bidding.

  5. I sure hope the buyer doesnt hand over cash till he gets to look at it.

  6. You can see a line in the C-post in one of the pictures. $11K and not at reserve, whoo.

It's gotta be bad if with your skills you told someone to get another body.

Starting price of $200.00 should tell you something.

The motto for Ebay should be "let the buyer beware". Actually, anyone using that site should have that mindset as the population of scam artists is ever increasing.

From the listing; Item condition; "Good"

Is any saying more cliche and stupid than "what you see is what you get". It drives me nuts when people use that line.
Guess in this case they might NOT get what they "see"...

I asked how much bondo was on the body & he replied:
"The only Bondo is on the roof where it was welded. I have pictures in metal. Send me your email and I can send them to you."

Oh well, it's outta my price range. ;-)

He may be correct. none of my cars have any Bondo either. But lots and lots of Evercoat.....

Also, the reserve has not been met. What is to stop someone from having 2 ebay accounts and bidding their own stuff up? Nothing. Thats what.

At first glance I thought, its doesn't look THAT bad.. but the I started zooming in on a few of the pics.. No bueno. It was a valiant effort trying to hide all the shoddy work with all that guide coat to distract our eyes! If you zoom in you can see every welded seam on the car, and if you can see it in pictures on ebay, then its gotta horrible in person! Shame on the seller.

If he was misrepresenting it. I would have reported it to ebay. Glad no one bought it.

I sent him a message asking why he was trying to hide the actual condition of the body.
He responded that my source of information was wrong and that they (and I) had no idea what we were talking about. o_O :)

When I see a for sale car or body in primer I generally pass. A lot of sins can be hidden under it and I wonder what the seller is hiding. I'd rather see one that hasn't been Doctored up.

anybody who would buy something like that without looking at it pretty much deserves whatever they get.

Wow. tons of speculation on this thread. Someone should just call the seller and ask more about it. Or, if you're actually interested in buying it, go LOOK at it. In the meantime, since the seller is a HAMBer too, I'm shutting this down.
