1961 Ford Galaxie disc brake swap??

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by S1B, Oct 27, 2008.

  1. I have to poke my head under the dash of my '59 to see if I can do a switch off the pedal. Since I have to but a proportioning valve anyway, I may as well get the one with the hydraulic switch. All I have to do is unplug the ones off the master I'm going to shitcan and pop them on the one from Summit.

Installed Scarebirds brackets with the 1968-1969 Mustang rotors took a couple pics. Drum to rotor measurement's also I measured wheel mounting surface to end of spindle. Rotor widens "track" 1/4" per side or 1/2" overall . No big deal.

Does anyone know if 1968-69 T-Bird disc brakes will bolt up to a 61' Galaxie? I ran across a deal on one but want to check if they will bolt up before pulling the trigger. Thanks.
