Wow love this new forum design! :D
I loaded up the chassis and took it to FL for dad to finish putting it together. Trailer was donated for the trip, hard to believe my 1/2 ton carried it. lol
I took it to dad's home shop. He didn't want 2 places taken up, so he undercoated the bottom and painted the firewall before I arrived. Brother Johny came over to help dad drop the body on.

Sorry I haven't posted an update for a while. I've been working with a robotic hand and hopefully I'll get mine soon. Dad is getting close to finishing my hotrod! It's getting painted!

  9. Good to hear from you again, Cliff!! Have you started that beast yet? How's your physical progress?
Along with your dad's roll cage idea you might want to consider some drive shaft loops on that monster. Ha Ha!

Thanks Ago, I blew up a gas can in my hand from being inpatient! I'm here and alive to tell ya, don't pour gas on a fire, no matter how small it is.

Hi Wingspread7, I don't think it has been started yet, but the engine harness is done. Dad sent it off for paint ( don't know why) but it wont be long when it comes back! Anyway, I've been getting stronger and will start school soon to re-invent myself! I'm going o get a robot hand for my left hand but don't think I'll cut off my hand for a while (only if i find that it is bothersome having an arm 10" longer). I think Dad decided to omit the roll cage.

I don't know how to create my own message, so I have to ride someone's coattails. Might as well be another Texan. Hope you don't mind. Prayers are comin' to Odins701 from San Antonio. I'll offer some skin grafts, but I am 67 years old. If it will work, I'm in. God bless you, Bud.

  26. Not sure how I missed you were in Virginia Beach, but I did. I spent 10 years over there on the USS Enterprise. Miss that place sometimes. Lived all over the Tidewater region. Newport News, Poquoson, Willoby spit, and WAY out in Mathews for a little while. We used to cruise Genero's (sp) down there, and there was a weekly thing at this little Muscle Car shop (Can't remember the name of it) out on J. Clyde Morris. Did a little part time work for Tidewater Corvette when I was over there as well.

Cool! I was on the Roosevelt. The owners of the shopping center that houses Genro's, stopped allowing the cruise ins! :-(
