Awesome truck. I have to tell you. First off I have a 46' K3 I've been building. I love the K/KB series and have not been too big a fan of the 50's models. Until yours. It shows just how sweet those things can look if done right. Well done. I'm inspired.

 

Very nice, super clean build. Im inspired as well. This just shows what patience, time and a lot of great skill sets can accomplish. I bet that this is a kick in the ass to drive!

Not too much. I pul in electric wipers and a vintage air heater/defroster last weekend since my original heater core was shot. It is now winterized and I've been driving it daily.

 

The more I see these trucks the more I dig them ...

surely it doesnt ride that low while driving, can you post a picture at ride height? I am actually in the process of doing something very similar with my '53. I am using the Fatman MII stage 3 kit. I am curious just how low its going to sit since i am using coil overs.

also, are you using an original bench seat? Or what seats are you using?

 

Here's a bad picture of ride height. Basically about 4" higher than parked height, and I'm using the original bench seat.

I've read this whole string twice, I can not wait to get started. I'll be honest, I'm not going to do the work, I just don't have the time to do it at home, plus I'm getting to old and tired of working on vehicles. Even though I'm literally in love with your trucks color, I'm going to patina the original paint on mine. But either a LS or 350 sbc, and a 700r. I am definitely bagging it, and that's it. Should be getting started in a few weeks.

 

Thanks for the kind words guys. So many new projects, I hardly have time to drive the '54 but that is going to change next year.
Check out this '48 Metro I found. All original down to the paint. No rust!
Currently cleaning up the electrical and the stainless grill bars.

I plan on raising the bar with this build.

 

For give my ignorance/youth. What exactly is the window unit and how does it work. I just know it's a cooler of sorts.
