Hot Rods What engine is this?

I see the distributor in front, but it's angled, so I'm thinking not an sbf. Asking for help telling me what it is.

Jim - any idea what size? 304? 401? other? I thought maybe AMC also, but do they really have that many v/c hold-down bolts?

 

Jim - I just "googled" AMC V8 - you are correct. Don't think there's any way to tell the size, unless all orange means something. Thanks much for your quick answer.

 

ha ha you may be in luck bud. Can you get under the engine and look up? Check the motor mount area on the block.......both sides. Tell me what you see. Should be a 3 digit number on each side of the block in those areas. Hopefully the engine has its original internals.
