I remember 19 cent hamburgers on Supulveda in Culver City.....you'd buy a dollar's worth thinking that you would feast out and end up giving or throwing them away, they were so bad. Must've been made out something other that meat.

Great work SWi66, you seem to be keeping this tread alive on your own, with the help of a few single posts from others.Love the two cowgirls on the early 'Vette and the wrecking yard pics. Been seeing how many make, model and year I recognise.
I've been away for three days (Tuesday 1:30) and only one and a half pages, I remember when if you missed a day there were three to five pages to catch up!!! I've tried posting pics but for some reason they come up blank.
Just a question to "slack" ,why the comments on posts from 4 years ago? Not having a go at you ,just curious.

One hell of a shot getting Jungle Jim, Pam, and Shirley in one shot. Must have been chilly out as the ladies "temp indicators" were popped.

Early 50s Jaguar XK120 gas and electric powered JR cars made in Portland Oregon. The boy and girl in the second photo are Spike Jones's (band leader) kids. The original factory mold that made these bodies just turned up at a garage sale just outside Portland and I ended up buying it from the lucky guy that got it for $20 from the garage sale to add to my collection of other JR cars.
