Here's the '55 at Spring Carlisle, PA Swap Meet in 1981. Looks like a Connecticut plate on the back.

Very cool four-door! Love that front end and the Packard taillights out back!

I don't remember the paint on the car at this point being metalflake, more of a metallic. The photos show that pretty clearly, I think.

love the blue version, with the dual packard lenses stacked on each side, 58 Ford side trim, tube grill and the wrap around back window. Looks lower in the front too. RAD

Now, can somebody locate that 16 year old and smack the shit out of him? I'd give my left nut for a car like that now, and when I was 16!
Plus my Dad would never speak to me again after all that work.

I bought about every custom car magazine that came out around the time that the one you have shown back up the thread (I still have that one) and I don't remember seeing the car in any other magazine unless it was in a photo from an indoor show in show coverage.

I'm with Edcodesign, those Autozone decal looking flames gotta go. They detract from rather than add to the car as it sits. Photos 2 & 3 kinda spun my wheels in the photos above. The good thing is that no matter what color you decide to paint it it was probably close to that color at one time in it's history.
