I hate people that hoard stuff like these people did! There is tons of good material there and I don't doubt the auction company will not sell it all and a bunch of stuff will be scrapped! Wish I were a wealthy person so I could make an offer to buy the whole place then start selling parts through this site, oh well I'm not, so that won't happen.

I get the feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of these as the old timers that saved all this go on to hot rod heaven.

Cool stuff and another chance to save it from the scrappers.
As far as the hoarder comment...that gets posted just about every time there is a auction where someone collected and SAVED a bunch of stuff. If it wasn't for this guy (and others like him) those parts and everything else more than likely would have been lost long ago.Not sure if the "I hate hoarders" is because of jealousy that they have the stuff or greed because of what they see for parts value.
Be happy the stuff is available.

    Well said partsdawg.
Judging by the pics the guy must have sold parts. Probably kept a lot of old iron running because of that.

  15. Good luck on the auction.

  19. I'd like to step right into that persons life where he left off.

    The property, buildings and contents.
Write a check and take over.
Where did I set that winning lotto ticket?

The ad says they'll run 2 or 3 rings. I suspect they'll be selling huge lots. They certainly won't have time to choice stuff out. Should be a lot of bargains there.

  26. OH BOY! You've got to admire that man's (assumption on my part) dedication! I've been to a couple auctions of similar magnitude and was completely numb after the first hour or so. You've got to go in with a primary target and no more than a couple alternates if you miss your first pick, and keep the blinders on or it makes ya sick, or broke, or both. Usually a ton (pun intended) of incredible deals at this kind of sale, particularly if they are trying to push it all in a day. Maybe Daddy Warbucks will swoop in, buy the place and open a wrench turner's bed and breakfast! One price covers room and board, tools, shop space and all the parts you can assemble during your stay. Like a hot rod Disney Land.
