    I had this motor for over a year and planed on using it. I bought new gaskets, water pump, fuel pump, and any other parts I thought I might need.this was supposed to be a 49000 mile motor out of a r that ran good I don't think so. More pics later.

    I never knew they put those in U Boats.

    It might clean up. I would try it.

    "Ran when parked". Yes, and then there were three floods in the ensuing years.

    I could eat a bowl of cereal out to the lifters. It looks like the aluminum piece on the oil pump drive broke.

    Not to make light of your situation, as I've been there myself, but I feel the overpowering urge to post a response that I've seen all too often on this very board;
    "That'll buff right out."

    Sorry.....Roger

  7. That motor ate a lot of metal. Probably needs a crank regrind and bore.

    Looks like maybe they forgot to put a "1" in front of that 49,000 miles.
    You don't say where your from, but I have a 360 sitting here (probably about the same wear, but at least mine turns over) "ran when pulled," 15 years ago, I'd give you a screaming deal on. Gene

  9. I knew the Plymouth logo was the Mayflower...but I didn't realize this was their anchor!

  10. Well, it probably did run good until it broke and they pulled it.
