Thanks 3wlarry! the bed is the most used and abused part of this truck (as should be) but I dont think it is worth even thinking about salvaging it. There isnt a single spot that doesnt need rust or dent repair... or even worse, someones old repairs. Ill see what I can do though!
Alright! a couple days out here she sits! As ready to race as ever. All the go fast goodies working as hoped! Came down to the wire but Im pumped. Cant wait to blast this down the beach. There are going to be some awfully fast flatty's there but Im just going to do my best! Hopefully this cut down and stripped pickup can put up a fight.
Awesome collection of '32-'34 pickups. I owned a '34 for over 40 years and never got it to driver condition. My excuse was that every time I thought about getting it on the road the damn thing had shrunk another waist size and getting into it became a "no can do" proposition. I'm envious that so many did not shrink. lol
I had to cut my hair to fit in mine 6'3 and a nearly 5" chop haha Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I was wondering how well a tall guy would fit in one of these. 6'3" also and really like theses trucks but wasn't sure I would fit. Great looking ride. --louis
Well I'm 5' 11, 3/4 and fit in a channelled and chopped pickup. You can always relocate the tank under the bed for more room in the cab.
I've followed your threads. I've seen what you put your truck through! Inspiring! Hope mine fairs well this weekend! Excited! Counting down the 12 hours until departure! So stoked. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Our truck was lettered in about 1958 that it still wears. Here's a pic of it in front the 'tar' shop in Manville, NJ where it worked just prior to being lettered up.
WOOOO! I cant take credit for any of these pics... All stuff I found on the web! What an awesome weekend. Had an absolute blast.
