I bought a 32 Roadster Street Rod project last year and have slowly been redoing it to my liking as money has allowed, It's getting pretty close now. Going to get it into glossy black paint this fall, and finish it by spring, This is what it looked like when I bought it, bare with me as I load pictures
Set the body back on to start fitting it all back together, I did not like the hood so I took it off and ordered a new 4 pc hood
I did not like the looks of the regular 32 frame horns so I started cutting, I liked the looks of Jo Kerr ' s Model A nerf bar and the way he did his steering so that was the look I was after, decided to change the Headlight mounting at the same time.
Now it's time to start the steering, I used a mopar steering box and used Joe Kerr ' s Idea and used a sprint car torsion bar and Arm.
Making a nice job of it, are you going to change the grille or stick with the street rod item with no crank hole ? JW
[QUOTE="yngrodder, This is what it looked like when I bought it, bare with me as I load pictures[/QUOTE] I keep telling you guys, we will not bare with you, you can get naked by yourself We will however bear with you Nice looking roadster, I'm very glad the wheels in the first pictures are gone.
Very nice, I like your ideas. Whose body are you using? Lots of steel reinforcement inside more than a Wescott.
Hood is a Rootlieb, body Is a Kilbourne body It's very nice, I'm still working on getting the steering worked out, It's awful hard to turn need to figure out arm lengths both the cowl and spindle for easier steering,
If he was going full traditional, I'd agree, but the coil over shocks and blower motor put it in the "traditionally styled" slot. And he's going to need great brakes with that engine.
