I have the last 2 issues, and not only do they have the letter from Bob in it, there is a great write up about our own Mr. Norwell. Street Rodder has had some references to the HAMB for awhile now.

I'd have to say that I'm a bit partial to the current Novenber issue as it has my car on the cover. Yes I'm beyond stoked!

  11. SR is NOT "the only mag left. Hot Rod Deluxe is absolutely worth a subscription.

I don't get it, I guess. So many HAMBers bad mouth Street Rodder or anything or anybody else that doesn't fit the mold here on HAMB. I say different strokes for different folks myself.
There are people of enormous power in Washington, D.C. and other places that would like nothing better than to put us all in a Toyota Prius or some other shitbox, and send our iron to the museums and salvage yards. And what do we do???? We sit back and throw rocks and wise ass cracks at other automotive enthusiasts, the Street Rodders, the Tuners and the Rat Rods, etc.
I say we need to learn to accept that we don't all like the same kind of special interest stuff just like we don't all like the same brand of beer, or the same flavor ice cream.
And then we need to direct our energies through groups like SEMA and our own HAMB and the hated here NSRA, etc. to make these politicians here in the USA accept that we won't stand for the bull shit they try to put over on us now or in the future.
Ryan doesn't like politics here and I understand that and understand why, but I don't think he would/will begrudge you the right to, while maintaining a "traditional" outlook here on HAMB, you can accept the fact that others may have a different type of special interest vehicle ionterest, and support their right to their opinion rather than throw rocks at them. SHIT, GROW UP GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!

All the food stores over here removed their car magazines about a month or two ago...?
Maybe a Hot Rod Mag but that's it...

And there's one bookstore left on the island - Barns & Nobles...

    Paper : R.I.P!

    Flip side:
It'll save me a bunch of money each month!

I will buy and read any mag with hands-on useful tech that may pertain to something I'm building or going to build, my turn off for most mags and streetrodder is prone to it is tech based on the product featured which is really just advertising. Car guys in general are a resourceful and helpful group in helping fellow car guys.

  29. Is "Traditional Rod and Kulture" still available? I used to find it all the time at our deployed BX's when I'd be deployed. It's been my favorite for a few years.

I did just acquire 146 old car pubs ranging from a 1953 Rod and Custom to a 1962 Customs Illustrated and a bunch of others I've never heard of. I actually have the first issue of Customs Illustrated. So I've got some real hotrod mags to keep me busy for a while.

  30. I have been a subscriber to R & C Street Rodder for as long as I can remember. Now just SR.
As most do I read what interests me and ignore the rest.
