Anyone have suggestions for a muffler shop in the Fresno/Clovis area?

I have a 30 Chevy with a V8 and just need to run duals out the back as well as some dump tubes just in front of the running boards. Already have new Smithys.

I have a rolling chassis with the motor/tranny already in it. Spoke with Cal-State and he won't do it unless the body is on. As it's a flat bottom body like any early car I can't see the reason for wanting the body in place. As long as it's below the top of the frame rail it's clear.

I spent a lot of time detailing out the frame and I don't want some hack driving zip screws willy nilly into my x-members.

Johnny's Muffler is very careful with detail. He is into rods as his dad.

Me too, but my last muffler shop experience wasn't a good one. Some lunatic torched a hole in my frame.
That shop is long gone however...

Yes he is, he lives right down the street from Katuna. ;) :D

Manuel at Kustom Auto & Exhaust did virtually the identical setup on my old Coupe. He does fantastic work for a reasonable price, he also did the exhaust on my old '39 pickup and my '67 Malibu. It's been a few years since I've seen him, I'm not sure he is still located in the same place. Here's the info I have:

Mutt, thanks for the info but damn, that pic is going to give me nightmares.

Drop by sometime. I'm working on the coupe virtually EVERY Sat. My father in law is a real taskmaster.

It really is one of the top 10 most annoying web memes ever! IMO it's designed to incite blind hatred on the part of the viewer.

At least it works on me, as for some inexplicable reason I'd like to hit the artist with a brick every time I see it.

Back on topic: thanks for the addy on Kustom auto, Mutley. I know I'm going to have custom headers in my future, and I'm 99% sure I don't want to build them.

BTW, If any of you guys in Fresno, or Madera county see a viable donor car sitting around for sale, I'm officially looking; and if it's pre-'65 so much the better. Most '70's Mopar would work for me too.

    Edith needs running gear .

My bud Jerry had his '32 into a muffler shop in Fresno (1992) They installed headpipes, mufflers, and tailpipes on the car. (steel chopped 3 window, stock frame & floor height)
Evidently, the shop hung the pipes & mufflers too high, the SBC in that thing would warm the floor to extreme temps.
Jerry installed Vintage Air...still was like sitting on a hot plate. (Yes, A/C to fix an exhaust problem!)

He finally gave in and took the car to Turlock, (Bob's Mufflers) and had the whole thing re-done.
Excellent work...bad thing was Jerry's car was flamed, and for 12 years it felt like those licks were REAL!
...musta told him a hundred times...

You gotta leave some daylight in there for the heat. Don't know which would be worse, an old wood floor like this one or a metal "hot plate" floor

Due to space limitations I have to go lower rather than higher anyway.

Here's what I'm working with. Duals out the back and dump tubes at the front on the running boards.

There's some funny reflections in that photo. At first I thought you had 3/4 elliptics in the front. :D

Thanks Ulu! My father in law wanted shiny and he got shiny. Hopefully here by the end of the month we'll get the motor in to get it fired up and dialed in. It's coming out one last time for start up and so we can drop the body on. Thats why I wanted to get the exhaust done prior.
