I have a new set of wheels and tires for my truck the only problem the rear wheels are so wide they want fit under my truck.I have a 10 bolt from a s10 with 2 inch adapters that don't look safe to me.I'm trying to find something with an overall width of 62 inches.any ideas?.I found a mopar 8.75 approx. 61 inches overall. Are these good rearends??

    Mysteryman,
    Here's a link with a lot of info on 8 3/4" rears

  3. 78ish Cadillac Seville is a couple inches narrower but I don't recall the dimensions. It has disc brakes and 5 lug truck pattern.

Thanks for the info.I'm leaning toward a late 60,s f100 9 inch. It's within a 1/2 inch width of what i need and already has the 5.5x5lug pattern.

I went with a ford 9 inch from 66 f100(3.70 ratio) .61 1/2" wide overall.Tires clears wheel well 3/4 " on each side.Looks good .Picked up a <10,000 mile goodwrench 350 for $300 runs like new.plumbing the brakes ,swapping the front spindles is all left to do before driving.
