IMG_20140902_185001_163.jpg Has anyone ever seen this style. A lot of people are curious about where I got them. They came with the engine. I'm trading my truck and taking the covers w me. How much are they worth?

Little hard to say from here. A picture would help some.

    I'd bet they're from a truck.

    Probably an F-100, Stan.

  8. Since the engine has the rams horn exhaust manifolds, maybe the whole thing was a truck engine and really came with these odd ball covers. Or, maybe some clever person created them....

there was stuff like that available in the 70's. that is the 1956 style emblem. the rams horns were on the 57 and later cabover C600 ect and not a pickup truck but you can put them in anything.

is the F100 badge bolted to the cover like it was a cut down hood badge?

I'm thinking one-off. For the simple reason someone from the blue oval camp surely would have seen them before.

They look like modified or recast Edmund valve covers. The find are gone

I had an ol boy tell me he'd seen a set years ago. But his memory could have been fogged. I think one of a kind but they're old and really nice.

Are one offs worth as much as rare factory? I doubt it. But I'm keeping them anyway. Thanks for all the input!

  17. I've collected a lot of Y-block valve covers in my day never seen a set like that. They look embossed. I have a y-block valve cover that has a hole in the center for a breather cap, factory sticker with the horse power rating on it. The opening has a lip around it for the breather that's factory stamped. I've never seen another one like that either!
