Hey ya'll - It's that time of year again . Yup , I went to the Lead East car show in Parsippany , NJ . It's a hell of a big show , with nearly 2,000 cars . Yea , not all of them are winners (in the "traditional" sense) , but with that many cars , there's MORE than enough to satisfy even the pickiest person . If you can't find something you like at this show , it's your own fault , LOL ! I only shot about 500 pics this year . Here a few samples (I'll post the link to my album in a bit , so you can browse them all) :
The link to the album is right here : CLICK HERE , DUDE As to be expected with a show this huge , there were more bellybuttons , ugly mirrors , steering wheels and GM tilt columns than I could handle , so I tried to avoid these pics (because I've shot so many pics at this show in previous years) . These days , I shoot what I like since I'm the one keeping these pics . Also , in leau of hauling my bigger camera around all day I switched it up to a pretty nice "point & shoot" camera . I think it shoots pretty good pics ... what do ya think ?
I very much like your stance on what is photo worthy. I hate to bash on anyone else's builds, and to each his own and all that, but I just can't wrap my head around the still-lingering love of headrest bucket seats, big plastic tilt columns and those huge 80's body colored side mirrors. Some very nice pics you took, thanks for sharing.
This was another great Lead East. Fortunately(?) I was too busy grilling, cruising, drinking and catching up with friends to take any photos. Please post your album up. BTW, that '55 Lincoln should have won every award. The nicest car at the show by far
You're welcome , guys . I enjoy sharing pics with those not able to make ti to shows that I attend . I've picked-up ideas from other's pics they've shared , so it's kinda like paying back , I guess . There were certainly some cool rides there , and some stuff that made me scratch my head & think "Why the heck would they do that?" or sometimes "Just because you can , doesn't always mean you should" . I'm sure people will think that of MY ride someday . The pedal car was actually an aluminum-bodied battery-powered car that even had AIR RIDE ! It was mucho-cool . My friend Rich's daughter was having a blast riding in it with her friend . She said that tons of people shot pics of them out cruising . Here's another shot of it that I thought was cute ...
Kinda glad to see "Uncle Terry" is still keeping Lead East alive. We went every year for many years and at all the locations! Sorry to see the later model cars, but like Terry said... Someone has to pay the bills! Miss the "Gup" and Jerry "Wolfman" Burst playing my favorite oldies. Great photos, thanks for the "memories" ! KK
Yeah Buddy we had the Marriott parkinglot looking like a pit area tuning Dom's pedal car....got to lead east after 12 pm saturday
