Technical Music in the hotrod troubles

Question for stereo guys, I have a PAC a/v output adapter and my Ipod is not charging. Hot wire is hooked up to battery hot and I have power past the fuse.
Is my plug bad or is there a way to fix them?
Ipod charges in the hose just no in the car.

Purchased a plug in usb charger for the next road trip and we will have to use the speaker jack.
